Our kitchen celebrates the very best of British dining. From traditional pies with golden, buttery pastry, to crispy fish and chips and hearty Sunday roasts carved fresh every weekend, our plates are brimming with flavour. We champion seasonal, local ingredients, ensuring every bite is fresh, comforting, and true to its roots.

Just because the season has changed, doesn’t mean the temperature has dropped in our garden! Covered by a stretch tent and heaters throughout means that you can still enjoy Barnes Best beer garden in the winter. Grab a pint, take a seat in one of our alcoves and soak up the festive atmosphere.

Stepping into a traditional pub in winter is like stepping into another world. The warmth of the fire, the comforting creak of old floorboards, and the aroma of something delicious drifting from the kitchen make the season feel magical. Our Winter Set Menu embraces that tradition, with seasonal, local British ingredients prepared with care and respect for winter’s richness. From Monday to Friday, 5th January to 27th February, you can enjoy two courses for £19 or three courses for £23, offering a comforting escape from the cold and a taste of winter as it should be: slow, warm, and utterly satisfying.

Winter might be cold, but birthday celebrations don’t have to be. From January to the end of March, we’re celebrating winter babies in true local style.

Book a birthday gathering for 15 guests or more, and the birthday girl or boy will enjoy a bottle of bubbles on us. With our cosy interiors, characterful corners, private space for groups and a much-loved beer garden, we’re the perfect place to bring everyone together, without the stress.
